Functional Medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease and dysfunction as opposed to the traditional medical approach of treating only the symptom. All of our treatments and modalities are based in the functional medicine model.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture speeds the healing process of pain, stress, illness, and injury by balancing your internal communication system.  Research and anecdotal evidence has led the WHO to recommend acupuncture as the treatment of choice for over 70 maladies.

Chiropractic

The fundamental principle of “structure dictates function” is based on simple anatomy and physiology of nerve and blood flow, both of which are mediated by the skeletal system.  With over 20 years experience, Dr. Lex utilizes gentle approaches in chiropractic care, including Activator Technique, Cox flexion/distraction, Cranial Sacral Therapy and other soft-tissue adjustments. 

Nutrition Therapy

Many symptoms and disorders have been traced to the disruption of cellular health due to environmental toxins and inadequate nutrition. Dr. Lex provides nutritional counseling, chinese herbs, body composition analysis, lectures targeting weight issues and proactive aging strategies, as well as herbs and supplements from proprietary nutraceutical companies. 

Laser Therapy ( LLLT )

New to the US, but used in Europe for decades, LLLT is the use of specific wavelengths of light to improve healing time, reduce pain, increase circulation and decrease swelling. It is amazingly safe, painless, and quick. 

Migun Bed

The Migun Thermal Massage Bed uniquely integrates acupressure with spinal intersegmental traction. It lifts and mobilizes the spine to promote blood flow and relaxation and restore spinal flexibility. 

Laboratory Testing

We use a variety of medical testing as diagnostic tools.  Test results also serve as a baseline to indicate improvement in the future.
